If you’ve never visited a spa before, it can feel a bit unfamiliar. Understanding what to expect will help you feel more comfortable and relaxed, allowing you to get the most out of your treatment.
You can usually book a session online or by visiting the spa in person. It's always best to book at least 24 hours in advance, especially during the tourist season. Be sure to mention if you have any specific health concerns or if you prefer a male or female therapist.
Arrive about 10-15 minutes before your scheduled time. This gives you time to fill out any necessary health forms and unwind. At Helena Spa, we typically offer a warm herbal tea upon arrival to begin the relaxation process.
Your therapist will guide you to a private room. They will explain how to position yourself and what parts of the body will be massaged. Communication is key! If the pressure is too hard or too light, or if you feel uncomfortable in any way, feel free to let the therapist know.
After the massage, don't rush! Sit for a few minutes and drink some water to help flush out the toxins that were released during the session. It's also a good idea to avoid strenuous activity for the rest of the day.
